GERALDINE JONES
Geraldine Jones, 63, of Pennsboro, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV.
Geraldine was born September 16, 1956 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Goldie E. Jones. She spent her life as a loving homemaker for her family and as a wonderful cook. Cooking was her passion. She worked almost her entire life making meals for members of her community at various restaurants and she retired from the P&H Family Restaurant in Pennsboro, WV. In addition, she helped organize and prepare many community dinners for special events. She loved dancing, movies, singing and listening to gospel music, and she adored her grandchildren. She loved animals and was a wonderful mother and great woman. She was also a former member of the Wince Chapel UMW of Pike, WV.
She is survived by her loving companion of many years, Denver Whitehair; her sons, Roger Jones of St. Marys, WV; Sonny Jones of St. Marys, WV; David Jones of OH; her grandchildren, Damean Jones; Dakota Ray, and Mary Ellen Jones; sisters, Stella Cottrill of Pennsboro, WV and Doris Greathouse of Harrisville, WV; sister in law, Shelia Jones of Ellenboro, WV and brother in law, Charles Barniak of Cairo, WV.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Billy Jones, Loretta Barniak, Rosalee Satterfield, William Jones, and Jacky Jones.
Due to the ongoing health concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic, all services will be private. She will be laid to rest in the Mount Harmony Masonic Cemetery in Pennsboro, WV. McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro is assisting the family with the services.
