Minnie Bell Davis, 80 of Salem departed this life in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 11, 1940 in Harrison County a daughter of the late William Barker and Mildred Virginia Hayes.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy Webb, West Union, Linda Catona, NC, one son Cledith Davis, West Union, one sister, Geraldine Barker, Salem, one brother, Everett L. Hayes, NC, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and her companion of 13 years, Jennings Burr; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Clifford Emerson “Ted” Davis.
Minnie had worked for Myles Manufacturing, West Union as a Seamstress and Quality Garment as a Sewing Machine Mechanic and Seamstress. She had also worked for America Care and Albert Gallatin Health Care as a CNA. Minnie loved to fish and spend time with her family and attended Sunshine Fellowship Church.
At her request she was cremated. There will be a service to celebrate her life at a later date at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be extended to the family at www.harbertfuneralhome.com. Harbert Funeral home is privileged to serve the Davis family.
