REGULAR MEETING

Meeting was called to order by Mayor James D. Friend at 6:00 P.M.
Present: Mayor James Friend, Council Members: E. John Barker, Mark Younkin, Myla Thorpe, and Colby Jett. Recorder: Melody Gray
Guests: Chris Garner, Brandon Smith, Sheena Hunt, Douglas Cox, Linsey Ferguson, Amberly Taylor, Jim and Rose Musgrave
Prayer: A moment of silence was observed.
Pledge: Led by Mayor Friend.
Approval of Minutes: December 9th, 2019 corrected minutes. Mark Younkin made motion to approve the minutes with the 25.00 ATV Fee correction. Colby Jett seconded the motion. Unanimous approval.
Special Meeting: Mark Younkin approved the minutes. Myla Thorpe seconded the motion. Unanimous approval. January 23rd 2020 minutes: Mark Younkin made a motion to approve the minutes with the correction of the ATV Fee being $25.00. John Barker seconded the motion. Unanimous approval.
Approval of Invoices: There was a question on the $8800 for replacement pump. It was for the one at the Middle School. Will be paid in 3 payments. Colby Jett made a motion to approve the invoices. John Barker seconded the motion. Unanimous approval.
Police Report: Brandon Smith reported that there were 48 citations this past month.
Public Comment: Linsey Ferguson is Agent in training for the Extension office. She is there to talk about Community Development and she has been in 5 different Towns talking about this. It would be great for the community to get involved with this project. Takes about 2 years. There is a lot involved with this project. She will be put on the agenda to speak officially to Council about being involved in this.
Delegations: Colby Jett made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mark Younkin seconded the motion. Unanimous approval.
