Bringing Awareness to Doddridge County

No matter your age, addiction can occur. This is why awareness is so important. Prevention is the first step to ensure problems do not overtake our lives. Recognizing the signs early is an important part of recovery. We can help!

The Doddridge County Prevention Partnership(DCPP) is located in the basement of the old West Union Grade School commonly known as WUGS. The DCPP mission statement is “Bringing to light the issues of community substance abuse, to begin healing, protection, and prevention for a healthier future”. The DCPP is here to help provide awareness to the county on many issues that are currently happening in our area. We have a variety of informational packets at our office and throughout the county. Areas of concern are abuse, alcohol, anxiety, bullying, depression, Juuling, marijuana, meth, opioids, prescription drugs, racism, suicide, tobacco, vaping, and much more. If we don’t have the information you need, we have many different partners who do.

The DCPP has coalition team meetings every third Tuesday of the month from 11:30am to 12:30pm at the Doddridge County Starting Points Office which is located in the same building. If you would like to learn more or you want to join the team just come to a meeting, everybody is always welcome.

Don’t wait until it is too late, stop by the office or call 304-666-1100 or 304-873-3500 and ask to speak the DCPP coordinator.
